Some news from the National Trust Community Manager, Laura Malpas.....
Canons Ashby will be the featured location on a forthcoming ‘Flog It!’ filmed early last summer with Paul Martin.
The programme is due to be first transmitted on Tuesday 10th January at 15.45 on BBC2. It will be available on the BBC iplayer within the following 7 days in case you miss it the first time around.
If you watched the recent BBC programme about The National Trust’s property at Avebury Manor, ‘The Manor Reborn’ you may have noticed that the Tudor room with the painted panelling took its inspiration from the Canons Ashby Winter Parlour. Paul Martin, who presents both ‘Flog It!’ and ‘The Manor Reborn’ was fascinated by the Winter Parlour as he was filming there, and he especially admired our ‘Tudor bling’ - the highly decorated painted panels. |
