Update and clarification on the recent article in the November WOW You may have read the article on Parking on Pavements in the November WOW. We have been asked to clarify that this specifically EXCLUDES Percy Road, Sidney Road, Castle Road and Cherwell Terrace, as not only is on-pavement parking essential for emergency services to access the properties, but also refuse collection is made difficult. Therefore these areas should continue to park on pavements where appropriate. However, there are other areas of the village where it is not appropriate, or necessary, and we ask that villagers and their visitors do not impede pedestrians, pushchairs, wheelchairs or mobility scooters by parking inconsiderately. In these dark evenings especially, we do not want people unnecessarily having to walk in the road where accidents could happen. Thank you for your co-operation!
